Thailand returns the 1941 annexations to Cambodia under the Washington Accord

On 17 November 1946, Thailand agreed to return to Cambodia the western provinces of Battambang, Siem Reap and Sisophon that it had annexed in 1941 with Japanese mediation. The Washington Accord reversed the last Thai annexation of Cambodian territory and restored the pre-1941 border.
